Marc Hom’s very first museum exhibition, titled "RE-FRAMED," makes its debut at the Fenimore Art Museum in Cooperstown, New York, with the opening on May 24, 2024. As both a retrospective featuring many of his iconic photographic works and a collection spanning from the early 1990s to the present, it aims for a new viewing experience.
Departing from traditional gallery conventions of framed photos on walls, the exhibition prioritizes an immersive viewing experience both indoors and outdoors. The indoor section provides a controlled, intimate setting with smaller prints, while outdoors, photos are displayed in massive 20-foot rotating frames measuring 12 by 8 feet, featuring black and white prints, subject to elements such as wind, sun, shadow, and rain.
Titled "RE-FRAMED," the exhibition presents an innovative approach to outdoor photography, offering viewers unique daily interactions and perspectives, symbolizing a fresh start and a new way to visualize the future.
