Step into the vibrant world of street art with the visually overwhelming coffee table book Masters of Street Art, Art without a Frame, compiled by photographer Michael Harker and cultural historian Dr. Suzanne Bäumler. This high-quality photo book brings together the most impressive murals by the world's most renowned urban artists in one monumental edition – from the poetic works of Tamara Alves to the socially critical installations of Bordalo II, who transforms waste and plastic into striking animal portraits.

With its large-format photography, this photo book shows how graffiti and street art transform cityscapes into open-air galleries. From forgotten walls to entire neighborhoods: the works on these pages form a colourful, powerful palette of culture, activism and creativity.

In addition to visual splendor, the book contains interviews, quotes and reflections that provide context for this groundbreaking art form. Festivals such as Calle Libre in Vienna also receive attention as a catalyst for the international street art movement.

Masters of Street Art is a stylish statement piece for every art lover – a book that not only celebrates the beauty of urban art, but also tells the stories hidden behind the walls. Ideal for those who love contemporary visual culture, urban inspiration and the raw energy of street art.

About the author

Michael Harker (1951) is a photographer with a keen eye for the unexpected. He studied in Vienna and lives alternately in Munich and Lisbon. After working in other disciplines for many years, he returned to his original passion in 2007: photography. His work is characterized by a romantic and graphic perspective, with which he captures people, cities and landscapes with a sense of emotion and detail.

His fascination with street art arose during the documentation of urban projects such as the iconic 5 Pointz in New York. Since then, street art has become a central theme in his work. With publications such as Icons of Street Art – Big Murals and now this new book, he contributes to making this fleeting, yet eloquent art form visible and preserving it.
