About the author

Christophe Jacrot (b. 1960) is a French photographer renowned worldwide for his melancholic images of bad weather. Although his initial steps in the art world involved making award-winning short films, he returned to his first love: photography. Fascinated by the interplay of rain, snow, and fog, Jacrot developed a unique style that reveals the poetry of weather conditions.

His images – often taken in major cities like Paris, New York, or Hong Kong – show the silent, hidden beauty of moments that others might consider bleak. With a keen eye for composition and atmosphere, Jacrot evokes emotions that touch upon memory, silence, and transience. He is followed globally on social media, and his work is beloved by art enthusiasts, galleries, and collectors.
